Joint SOA/RCO Event Cranleigh School Chapel, GU6 8QQ
1. Play the organ - An afternoon for pianists wishing to try the organ, and find out more about the SOA Organ Student Scheme. Pianists who are interested in trying the organ - no age limit, but ideally already playing at Grade 5 or above (even if the exam was taken ages ago) - are invited to bring a short piece of music they are familiar with (ideally Bach or something similar), to play on the beautiful organ in Cranleigh Schol Chapel. They can also chat to previous SOA 'graduates' about the Organ Student Scheme and how it works.
2. Develop your skills - Later in the afternoon, Simon Williams (Royal College of Organists) will explain more about the RCO's new certificate and initiative for skills training for organists at all levels of playing (beginners to advanced).
For more information and to book a place, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
